- Vehicle Registration (行照) (行車執照) *Required

- Seller's Seal (印章) (賣方印章) *Required

- • Check that the registration matches the seller's ID
- • Verify there are no outstanding tickets or fines
Prepare Your Documents

💡 Can be made at any engraving shop for ~NT$100
- Taiwan Driver's License (台灣駕照) *Required
💡 International license NOT accepted for scooter ownership
💡 Tips:
- • Get a seal (印章) made with your name - any engraving shop can do it
- • If you don't have a Taiwan license, get one first at the DMV (監理所)
Go to DMV Together
一起去監理所
Both buyer and seller must go to the DMV (監理所) together for the transfer.
買賣雙方必須一起前往監理所辦理過戶。

- Transfer Application Form (過戶申請書) (過戶申請書) *Required
💡 Available at the DMV
- All documents from steps 2 & 3 (第2和第3步的所有文件) *Required
💡 Tips:
- • DMV hours: Usually 8:00-17:00, Mon-Fri
- • Transfer fee: ~NT$150-300
- • Process takes about 30-60 minutes
Pay Transfer Fees

Pay the transfer fees at the DMV.

- Transfer Fee (過戶費) NT$ 150-300
- New License Plate (if needed) (新車牌（如需要）) NT$ 150
Update Insurance
更新保險
Transfer or purchase mandatory liability insurance (強制險).
過戶或購買強制責任保險。

- New Vehicle Registration (新行車執照) *Required
💡 Tips:
- • Mandatory insurance (強制險) is required by law
- • Optional: Get third-party liability insurance (第三人責任險)
- • Can be done at the DMV or any insurance company
